Dances With Dogs Day School for Pups is committed to giving puppies a healthy start with their new families by providing supervised exercise, socialization and manners practice.
Pups become part of a "pack," learn to play cooperatively and are assisted in developing confidence and self-control and extinguishing unwanted behaviors. Their families are supported in all aspects of new puppy ownership and the school serves as a resource hub, providing options and recommendations for training classes, dog-walking, pet-sitting and off-leash recreation. DWD encourages healthy working relationships between people and their dogs and connects customers with trainers who teach rewards-based behavioral training methods. Our aim is to minimize new pups' daily crate time by offering a safe, supervised space for the exercise and social stimulation so desperately needed by growing pups in the early stages of life. The school partners with other small businesses in Southern Maine serving the dog community to connect dog owners with the best products, services and experiences available in raising a healthy, active pup!
