It's flea and tick season again here in Maine. Please refrain from applying Frontline to your dog the night before or the morning of a school day at DWD. This puts other dogs at risk of getting these harsh chemicals in their mouths during play and also interferes with proper saturation of the product on your dog, as dogs get wet here at DWD (wading pool) and roll around in the sand, etc. during the day. THANK YOU!

Welcome back, Max Corgi! His humans went to Iceland!!!

DWD will be CLOSED for the week of August 22-29. School reopens on August 29 for the Monday class. School will also be CLOSED for Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 6.
PLEASE...there is NO PARKING in front of my house on Ocean Street. PERIOD. You will get ticket if you park there, and I’ll get in trouble with the City as well. You are welcomed to park in my driveway (turn your car around to face out if you are able) or on Simmons Road just past my house. THANK YOU!!
OUR DAY: What a lovely summer day so far! The humidity seems to have eased and there’s even a nice breeze. We love this.
Behavior has been great today! Everyone is so happy and busy....this lovely weather agrees with them!
Ressu Frenchie is making up a missed Monday class today, and boy....what a difference ONE energetic, fun-loving dog makes! Brodie 2 and Atlas LOVE him and can’t get enough of him. Ressu is loving all the new playmates, too!
Max Corgi is back, after 3 weeks away. It’s just so adorable and touching to watch him reconnect with his “main squeeze” and total BFF, Anabelle Sheltie. They nuzzle and kiss and rub necks against each other. This is SUCH a fantastic friendship.
My two testy boys, Tank and Bagel, are on edge a bit today because of the excited play occurring all around them. Tank has been doing his growl-under-the-breath routine and Bagel got angry when he was bumped into during play. I’ve got my water bottle right beside me as I’m typing. Helps me keep the peace, for sure!
Milo has been a bit more interested in play today and less interested in humping girls and looking woefully at the door wondering when his humans will return. This is good to see!
Other good friendships I’m observing are: Lucy BT and Bo, Lucy BT and the Westie Brothers, Phoebe D and Bailey TFT, Atlas and Addie, Phoebe S and anyone who likes the pool, Bailey LP and Lucy BT. Good stuff!
Ok, I’ve got to get back to outdoor play! One of these dogs, by the way, has some really yucky poop today. Maybe a smaller dog, as the amounts are small....but someone’s intestines are not happy! I’ll try to figure out which dog it is by day’s end...
