DWD will be CLOSED for the week of August 22-29.  School reopens on August 29 for the Monday class.  School will also be CLOSED for the 4th of July Holiday on Monday July 5 (observed) and for Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 6.

NOW OFFERING....Copies of up to 200 of your dog’s best images at play at DWD, including solo shots as well as group shots and action shots!!  Sign up if you’re interested and a photo album containing your pup’s shots will be put together for you to view on the big screen of my 27” iMac.  CD’s will be $100 each and will contain up to 200 photos for puppy students and as many as I have of adult students (this amounted to over 500 for a recent customer...) for you to download on your computer and use in your own calendars, cards, photo books and prints.  You get to VIEW BEFORE YOU BUY!

OUR DAY:  Great class today, despite the unexpected shower we’re in the middle of presently!  Several hours of busy, fun play this morning helped the dogs to settle easily inside for the storm.

Kai-Lyn is better today!  She’s had some great bouts of play this morning with Bailey and Trixie and others.  We stayed up in the big playground until it really started raining...around 11:40...to keep her away from the house/doors/gate for as long as possible, which really helps her forget her worries about Mommy returning.  She’s getting a bit better each class.

Lolah Bulldog has joined the Adult Pack today.  She’s been a puppy student and was ready to have a bit quieter pace.  Well, actually, her PARENTS and I were ready!  She’s a super-busy, active dog to the point that she injures herself with all her crazy antics and running all around.  She jumps into the pool and acts like a little hippo, splashing water everywhere and dunking her head.  Anyway...her presence today has added zip and zest to quite a few dogs’ day!  Brodie 2 loves her and she and Trixie have been having wrestling contests in the sandbox all morning.  Atlas loves her energy, but I think he’s met his match!  He, too, jumped into the pool and did a great “Lolah imitation,” splashing and dancing and getting the whole pack stirred up.  Then, everyone chased him all around the yard.  He was in heaven!!  It was hilarious!!

I’ve been watching the Westie trio more closely these last several classes, as I had some concerns that Brodie 1 and Charlie were ganging upon Brodie 2 and sort of bullying him.  I was thinking about moving Brodie 2 to the Monday pack, but as soon as I mentioned that to Brodie 2’s mom, things shifted and have been much kinder and more in-control.  Lovely to see, and Brodie 2 seems really happy!  Plus, he spends so much time with his Lady Bulldogs that there’s not so much time for the other Westies to pester him!

Lily CP is also visiting today from the Tiny Tots class and she is doing GREAT and has been very calm and happy today.  She remembers Bailey TFT and Benji and maybe even Phoebe D from her class.  She’s not whined at all, even though her buddy Cooper didn’t show up today as we’d hoped!

Okay, I’ve got to get my pack back outside.  Everyone’s had a great day so far and behavior has been super!  Bagel has played and relaxed a bit more with dogs who are seeking to be his pal.  I love this!!
